Summerside is a city in the southeast of Prince Edward Island in Canada which has flat water conditions and constant winds that make it perfect for kitesurfing. It is gaining more relevance each year, and more so as a kitesurfing holiday destination despite the water being quite cold due to its closeness to Greenland. The last day of the 2008 World Tour PKRA was held at this spot. The beach is accessed by a stone wall but there are walkways as well. There are also portable toilets, a public car park in Water Street, next to the promenade, and a green zone at the far west.
To get there from the airport go along Slemon Park Drive until the round-a-bout. Take the All Weather Hwy towards Kensington. When you reach the North Drive crossroads, by the gas station, turn right and follow this road for about five minutes. Some nearby spots are Chelton Beach Provincial Park (10 km), Lower Malpeque (16 km), Malpeque (20 km), Cavendish (33 km) and Rustico Bay (40 km).

Conditions
A large breakwater protects a lot of the zone from big waves. There are large shallow areas during low tide. The wind is offshore with N component. The beach is accessed by a stone wall, but there are walkways. On the western part of the beach there’s a big green area where you can build your equipment. There’s also a smaller green area on the eastern part, next to the small car park.
